Miller Canfield Presents Legal Updates on ADA and FMLA

March 21, 2005

The law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C. announces its next Morning Update – "Recent Developments Under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family Medical Leave Act" – on Wednesday, April 6, from 8:00-9:00 a.m. at the law firm’s Troy office (840 West Long Lake Road, Suite 200).

This timely update presented by labor and employment law attorney Megan P. Norris will provide employers with practical tips on how to comply with the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

"As the courts continue to interpret the ADA and the FMLA and the Department of Labor prepares to revise the FMLA regulations, employers should make sure they have a firm grasp of the requirements of the two laws and the ways in which they overlap," said Norris.

Morning Updates are informational seminars focusing on labor and employment law issues and are structured for human resources professionals, CEOs, and business owners. Cost is $20 per person and includes handouts, parking, and a continental breakfast starting at 7:30 a.m. Space is limited. Contact Virginia Herrick at 313/496-7548 or herrick@millercanfield.com for reservations.
