Miller Canfield Again Ranks First in State for Municipal Bond Work

The law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C. announces that it once again ranks first among Michigan bond counsel firms in the 2003 Bond Counsel Rankings by Thomson Financial, completing 214 long term new bond issues totaling over $4.1 billion. The firm has been ranked as the number one bond counsel in the state of Michigan every year in the ranking’s 25-year history.

Miller Canfield’s Public Law Group consists of 26 members, which is the largest group of municipal finance specialists in the state of Michigan. The Public Law Group specializes in capital projects and infrastructure improvements, economic and industrial development projects, environmental response projects, government and regulatory affairs, hospitals and housing, litigation and labor, and local, state and federal tax and employment. Miller Canfield’s Public Law Group also ranks second nationally by volume of Industrial Development Long Term Municipal New Issues with issues totaling over $278 million, and ranks fifth nationally by volume of Health Care Long Term Municipal New Issues with issues totaling over $782 million.
