Conrad Wolan brings extensive experience in civil litigation and risk management to Miller Canfield. He represents private and public sector clients, including colleges and universities, in a wide range of matters before governmental agencies and in state and federal courts, including employment disputes, construction issues, civil rights claims, and contractual matters. Conrad also advises clients on a variety of regulatory requirements, including data privacy and information security compliance under HIPAA, FERPA, and other laws, as well as records requests pursuant to subpoenas, FOIA, and related regulations.
Before joining Miller Canfield, Conrad served as senior associate general counsel for Cornell University, where he handled civil litigation and advised on issues involving the student health center, privacy, research integrity, and risk management. Earlier in his career, he was a partner at a law firm in New York State, focusing for more than two decades on general litigation, employment law, and education law for both private and public sector clients.
