Leigh Schultz Named in Michigan Lawyers Weekly Women in the Law Class of 2020

August 12, 2020

Miller Canfield Principal Leigh Schultz has been named among Michigan Lawyers Weekly's 2020 Women in the Law.

The annual Women in the Law award celebrates the significant contributions made by women to the legal profession and the community, emphasizing excellence in the practice of law, community service, mentorship and leadership.

"Leigh is known in the legal community and in the firm as an attorney who delivers world-class work product, and who also easily establishes a connection with her clients that extends far beyond the delivery of legal service," said Miller Canfield CEO Michael McGee. "She becomes an integral part of her client's team, learning about their businesses and industries and the challenges they face, to best advise on achieving their business goals."

In addition to Women in the Law honors, Schultz has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America in the category of Labor and Employment Litigation since 2018, and by Michigan Super Lawyers, which named her a Rising Star from 2011 to 2015, and as a Super Lawyer since 2018.

Schultz joins her colleagues who have been previously named in Michigan Lawyers Weekly's Women in the Law: Jennifer Sabourin (2019), Wendolyn Wrosch Richards (2018), Hope Sonal Mithani (2017), Dawn Schluter (2016), Amanda Van Dusen (2015) and Amy Johnston (2014).

Miller Canfield is committed to the hiring, supporting and advancement of women in the legal profession. In 2018 and 2019, the firm was the only Michigan-based firm to earn the Mansfield Certified Plus designation from Diversity Lab, the national incubator for innovative ideas and solutions to boost law firm diversity and inclusion.
