Miller Canfield Elects Managing Director, Principal Attorneys
Miller Canfield is pleased to announce that A. Michael Palizzi was elected by the principals of the firm to serve as one of its five Managing Directors.
Palizzi co-leads Miller Canfield's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group and leads the firm's Intellectual Property practice. He will serve alongside the firm's other four Managing Directors: Danielle Mason Anderson, who was re-elected this year, Thomas Colis, Scott Eldridge and Amy Johnston.
"Mike is an excellent addition to the firm's Managing Directors," said Megan Norris, who took the helm as CEO of the firm on Feb. 26, 2021. "Leading a large law firm with locations around the world is a big and often daunting job. I am grateful to Mike and all of the Managing Directors for their leadership and dedication."
The firm also announced that it has promoted six attorneys to principalship. They are:
- Eric Bergeron, a member of the firm's Financial Services Group
- Manuel Placencia, a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group
- Justyna Regan, a member of the firm's Corporate and Transactions Group
- Lauren Verbiscus Rowe, a member of the firm's Financial Services Group
- Yuri Shidenko, a member of the Real Estate Group
- James Woolard, a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group
Earlier in 2021, the firm also named new practice group leaders and other leadership positions:
- Danielle Mason Anderson, Chair of the Summer Associate Committee
- Jeffrey Aronoff, Public Finance Group Deputy Leader
- Tom Colis, Public Finance Group Co-Leader
- Jeffrey LaBine, Corporate and Transactions Group Leader

- Marc Swanson, Bankruptcy and Insolvency Group Leader
