Glenn Weinstein Elected Fellow of American College of Bond Counsel

Miller Canfield is pleased to announce that Glenn Weinstein has been elected a Regular Fellow of the American College of Bond Counsel.

Weinstein, a principal attorney in Miller Canfield’s Chicago office, was recommended by the College’s Membership Selection Committee and elected by unanimous vote of its Board of Directors. The American College of Bond Counsel brings together lawyers distinguished by their skill, experience and high standards of professional and ethical conduct in the practice of bond law and by their contributions to the legal profession and the public.

Weinstein has extensive experience representing governmental and private clients in debt finance, secured lending, project finance and related tax, governmental, real estate and securities matters. He has served as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, underwriter’s counsel and trustee’s counsel on tax-exempt financings for state agencies and local governments in Illinois and other states.

His practice spans a broad range of public finance matters, including financings for airports, housing, universities, hospitals, charter schools, economic development projects and other public infrastructure. Recent matters include significant financings for the City of Chicago, the Illinois Housing Development Authority and local governmental entities throughout Illinois.

Weinstein is a former chair of the National Association of Bond Lawyers’ Securities Law and Disclosure Committee and is a frequent speaker at NABL programs. He also has served as co-editor of Federal Securities Laws of Municipal Bonds and as project chair for NABL’s Model Letter of Disclosure Counsel.


He has been recognized by Chambers USA in Public Finance since 2024 and was ranked in Band 1 in the 2026 Legal 500 US Chicago Elite guide for Banking & Finance. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and New York.

The American College of Bond Counsel will recognize Weinstein and the other newly elected fellows at its annual dinner Oct. 13, 2026, in Chicago.
