Erli Metko Joins Miller Canfield’s Corporate and Transactions Group
Miller Canfield is pleased to announce that Erli Metko has joined the firm as an associate attorney in the Corporate and Transactions Group. He is based in the firm’s Ann Arbor office.
Metko previously worked at Miller Canfield as a summer associate, supporting attorneys on litigation and transactional matters through legal research, memoranda, transactional documents and other client work.
He earned his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School, where he received a full scholarship for academic excellence and served on the executive board of the Wayne Law Review. He also was active in the school’s transactional law program and earned first-place honors in Wayne State’s 2023 Taft Transactional Law Competition and the 2024 National Transactional Law Competition at William & Mary. His law review article, “The AI Playbook – Regulating AI in M&A,” was selected for publication in 2025.
Metko also earned an MBA from Wayne State University’s Mike Ilitch School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Michigan State University, where he graduated with honors.
Before law school, Metko worked in operations and financial analysis for a logistics company, where his responsibilities included regulatory compliance and coordination with outside legal teams. He also gained legal experience through Wayne State University’s Business and Community Law Clinic, where he assisted small businesses and startups with matters including contracts and regulatory compliance.
Metko is licensed to practice law in Michigan.
