Miller Canfield Attorney Moderates Panel on Homeland Security and Border Trade

The law firm of Miller Canfield announces that Gregory J. Parry, a senior attorney in the Troy office, recently moderated a panel titled “Preparedness, Response, and Consequence Management” at the Homeland Security & Canada-U.S. Border Trade: Implications for Public Policy and Business Strategy International Conference hosted by Texas A&M University, CIBER, Dalhousie University and the University of Windsor.

Parry has extensive experience leading major industrial, commercial and corporate environmental due diligence projects, internal environmental audits, regulatory environmental compliance, brownfields redevelopment and a wide variety of complex transactional and administrative environmental matters. He has served as lead environmental counsel to national clients including big box retailers and lenders, real estate parties and corporate parties.

He is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan, Florida Bar, and District of Columbia Bar. He is founder and president of the Birmingham Patriots Youth Football and Cheerleading Program, a graduate of Leadership Oakland VII, founding member and past president of the Advisory Board of the National Crime Victim Bar Association, and past board member of Camp Oakland Youth Programs, Inc.

Parry received his law degree in 1989, magna cum laude, from The Detroit College of Law. There he received American Jurisprudence Awards and The Detroit College of Law Alumni Scholarship. He received his B.S. from Western Michigan University majoring in Criminal Justice and Communications. There he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Parry will receive a master’s degree in Homeland Security Leadership from University of Connecticut in 2008.

He resides in Troy, Michigan.
