Cara Houck Joins Miller Canfield's Litigation and Life Sciences Practices

The law firm of Miller Canfield announces that Cara M. Houck has joined the firm as senior counsel in the Chicago office, focusing her practice on civil litigation and life sciences. She represents manufacturers of products in toxic tort lawsuits, medical device and pharmaceutical litigation, and business and commercial disputes.

Houck is admitted to practice in Illinois, the Illinois Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute. She is vice president of Prevent Child Abuse America, and a board member for The Chicago Challenge.

She is a graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School earning her law degree in 1996. She received a B.S. from Northwestern University in 1990.

She resides in Northbrook, Illinois.
