Miller Canfield Attorney Elected to the Indus Entrepreneurs Organization Executive Committee

The law firm of Miller Canfield announces that Gurinder J. Singh, an associate in the Detroit office, was recently elected to the executive committee of The Indus Entrepreneurs Organization (TiE) Detroit Chapter. She practices in the firm’s Corporate and Securities Group.

With over 12,000 members across 11 countries, TiE works to foster entrepreneurship globally.

Singh’s current memberships include the American Bar Association (Business Law Section), the State Bar of Michigan (Business Law Section & Law Students Committee), the Network of Indian Professionals, the Detroit Economic Club, and the South Asian Bar Association. She is on the board of directors for the South Asian Cultural Foundation, and recently volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and served as a camp counselor at the Salvation Army Day Camp.

Singh received her J.D., cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School, where she was the recipient of the Association of Corporate Counsel Scholarship and was founder and president of the Business Law Society. She received a B.S.E. from the University of Michigan, College of Engineering, majoring in Industrial & Operations Engineering with an emphasis on Business. At U of M, she was founder and president of the Punjabi Student Organization, team captain for the Michigan Bhangra Team, conference social chair for the Indian American Student Association, and a member of Michigan Engineering Consulting Club and Amnesty International.

She is fluent in Hindi and Punjabi and knowledgeable in Spanish and Urdu.
