Miller Canfield Discusses Workplace Harassment

April 18, 2005

The law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C. announces its next Morning Update – “How to Respond to Sex and Race Harassment Complaints” – on Wednesday, May 4, from 8:00-9:00 a.m. at the firm’s Troy office (840 West Long Lake Road, Suite 200).

This timely update presented in a “how-to” format by labor and employment law attorney Jennifer L. Sabourin will offer employers practical suggestions for responding to complaints of workplace harassment.

“When an employee complains of sex or race harassment in the workplace, employers should be prepared to conduct a prompt and appropriate investigation,” said Sabourin. “We’ll take employers through the process – from choosing the investigator to rendering a report at the conclusion of the investigation.”

Morning Updates are informational seminars focusing on labor and employment law issues and are structured for human resources professionals, CEOs, and business owners. Cost is $20 per person and includes handouts, parking, and a continental breakfast starting at 7:30 a.m. Space is limited. Contact Virginia Herrick at 313/496-7548 or herrick@millercanfield.com for reservations.
