Attorney Appointed to the Executive Board of the Detroit Area Council, Boy Scouts of America

Thomas W. Linn, chief executive officer of the law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C., has been appointed to the Executive Board of the Detroit Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. The Boy Scouts of America provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness. Scouting recently celebrated 90 years in the USA and is the largest youth movement in the nation and world. The Detroit Area Council is one of the largest among 320 local Scout councils, covering Wayne County and portions of Oakland and Macomb counties in Michigan.

Mr. Linn has been a scouter for over 18 years in various capacities, including in his youth as Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Explorer; and an adult as Committee Member, Tiger Cub Coordinator, Cubmaster, Webelos Leader, and Scoutmaster of Troop 25 chartered to Iroquois Lutheran Church in Detroit’s Indian Village. He also was the recipient of the 1998 Silver Beaver award from the Boy Scouts of America.

He is a member of the American, Michigan, and Detroit Metropolitan Bar Associations.
