Miller Canfield Makes "Largest Law Firms" Lists for 2003
The law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C. has been named to two national “largest law firms” lists for 2003. The National Law Journal, a weekly legal publication, ranked Miller Canfield 127 out of 250, up six spots from last year, and Of Counsel, a monthly legal publication, ranked the firm 130 out of 700, up five spots from last year. Both rankings establish Miller Canfield as the largest law firm in Michigan.
The “26th Annual Survey of the Nation’s Largest Law Firms,” conducted by the National Law Journal, ranked firms by the total number of attorneys, as of September 30, 2003, to find the top 250 law firms in the country.
The biennial survey, "Of Counsel 700: 2003-2004 Annual Survey of the Nation's Largest Law Firms," ranked firms by the total number of attorneys, as of January 1, 2003, to find the top 700 law firms in the country. It also examines the growth and other aspects of the legal profession over a two-year period.
The 300-attorney law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C. was established in Detroit in 1852 and has offices in Ann Arbor, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Howell, Kalamazoo, Lansing, Monroe, and Troy, Michigan. Other offices are located in New York City, Pensacola, Florida, Washington, D.C., Windsor, Ontario, and in Gdynia, Katowice, and Warsaw, Poland.
