Sydney G. Rohlicek

Sydney Rohlicek is an associate at Miller Canfield with experience in employment and labor law, commercial litigation and criminal defense. 

On the employment side, Sydney focuses on management-side labor and employment litigation and counseling. Sydney has represented employers in state and federal court in lawsuits involving employment and public accommodation discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims. Sydney has also defended union grievances and unfair practice charges in labor arbitration. Sydney regularly assists clients in drafting employee handbooks and human resource policies, and she has conducted numerous investigations of personnel matters and corporate and individual wrongdoing for private employers and public utilities. 

Sydney's business litigation experience includes representing private companies and individuals in a variety of complex matters including non-competes and breach of contract. Sydney's white collar defense practice includes representing targets in federal and state criminal investigations and prosecutions, including tax fraud, firearm offenses, assault, domestic violence, and criminal sexual conduct.

Sydney is a graduate of Wayne State University Law School and earned her B.A. from Aquinas College, where she served as captain of the women's ice hockey team. Before joining Miller Canfield, Sydney worked as a judicial intern to the Honorable David M. Lawson of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
