Michelle is an associate in Miller Canfield’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group, where she focuses her practice on the defense of medical malpractice claims. Her work includes all aspects of litigation for hospitals, physicians, and other health care providers in matters involving medical malpractice, premises liability, and general negligence.
Prior to joining Miller Canfield, Michelle was an associate at a Michigan-based firm providing legal counsel for victims of medical malpractice and catastrophic injury. She also clerked at a complex business litigation firm, gaining valuable experience and insight into all aspects of litigation.
Michelle holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a specialization in Law from the University of Windsor, graduating with distinction and receiving the LEAD Medallion Scholar award for academic achievement and community involvement.
While in law school, Michelle earned several academic honors, including three CALI/Book Awards, multiple Dean’s List recognitions, and the Top Oralist Award in the Detroit Mercy Law Junior Moot Court competition. Michelle enhanced her education through various experiences, including service on the Moot Court Board of Advocates, participation as a Pupil in the American Inns of Court Detroit Mercy chapter, and completion of two semesters as a student advocate at the Federal Pro Se Clinic.
Michelle is based in the firm’s Detroit office and is admitted to practice law in Michigan and Ontario.
