Hassan Ahmad represents lenders, developers, and investors in complex commercial lending and finance transactions, with a particular focus on real estate development projects, including Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) developments and renewable energy transactions. Before joining Miller Canfield, Hassan practiced as an associate in real estate finance in Minneapolis, where he represented lenders providing construction, permanent, and bridge financing for housing developments utilizing LIHTC and Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits, and advised investors, lenders, and developers in renewable energy projects utilizing Section 48 investment tax credits. A Detroit native, Hassan earned his undergraduate degrees in English and Psychology from Wayne State University and his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law, where he served as Note and Comment Editor for the Journal of Gender, Race & Justice.
