Shawn N. Hopper specializes in drafting and negotiation of commercial loan documentation, especially asset-based financing. He also has experience in syndicated loan transactions and credit enhancement facilities for variable rate bond issues, such as commercial letters of credit and standby bond purchase agreements.
“Having experience in the business and commercial banking world, I understand the complexities of commercial transactions in today's credit markets. I provide my clients with advice and documentation that protects their interests, both in terms of structure and collateral, while providing custom solutions necessary to allow them to meet the financing needs of their customers.”

Experience
Shawn drafted and negotiated loan documentation and reviewed due diligence in connection with the acquisition of multiple out-of-state automobile dealerships and related real estate assets. Multiple issues were involved with the various parcels of real estate. He had to work quickly and efficiently to bring multiple parties together including the borrower's counsel and the title company to solve lien and title issues so that the transaction could close in a timely manner. In the end, he resolved all the title issues, put the appropriate agreements in place and allowed his client to close the transaction in relatively short order so they could keep their long-time and very important customer satisfied.
“I helped my clients by providing counseling and documentation that allowed the transaction to close expeditiously, while still protecting their interest in the multiple types of collateral for the loan.”
