Joseph Gustavus Appointed to ABA International Law Section Leadership Post
Miller Canfield attorney Joseph Gustavus has been appointed to serve on the steering group of the Export Controls and Economic Sanctions Committee of the American Bar Association International Law Section. His one-year term will begin on Aug. 8, 2023.
Gustavus leads Miller Canfield’s Export Controls and Sanctions practice, representing clients in nearly every industry sector involved in international trade, including automotive, aerospace and defense, information technology, nuclear power, robotics, supercomputing and telecommunications.
Gustavus has extensive experience representing multinational clients in matters involving: export control compliance; mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administrative Regulations (EAR); and the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).
