Each year, U.S. News & World Report releases its Best Lawyers in America list, which recognizes lawyers across the nation for their excellence, based entirely on peer review. The firm was very pleased to see that once again, Miller Canfield lawyers comprised an impressive portion of the latest list, which was released last week.
We are all especially happy to see that four of our colleagues have been named to the Best Lawyers list for the first time or have been named in new practice areas.
The new recognitions went to:
- Marc Swanson - Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization
- Kimberly Scott - Litigation-Intellectual Property
- Al Wallace - Recognized for the third year in a row, but for the first time in Litigation-Municipal
- Sherri Wellman - Recognized since 2007, but for the first time in Energy Regulatory Law
The 2018 list includes 107 Miller Canfield attorneys in Michigan, Illinois, and Florida across 58 practice specialties. Included in that list are 11 attorneys who received a Lawyer of the Year recognition.
