Recapping Recent Honors
While we're not in the practice of law to win awards, we are proud to share several prestigious recognitions which Miller Canfield and its attorneys have recently received:
- Seventy Miller Canfield attorneys in 37 practice areas have been named to the DBusiness magazine Top Lawyers list for 2021. The honor is based on a peer-review survey of more than 19,000 attorneys in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw and Livingston counties, who are asked to nominate highly qualified lawyers in more than 50 legal specialties.
- U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers ranked Miller Canfield among the nation’s best law firms in the 2021 edition of “Best Law Firms in America.” The firm earned national rankings in 14 practice areas, as well as 114 metropolitan rankings in 54 practice areas.
- U.S. News & World Report also recognized 106 Miller Canfield attorneys in Michigan, Illinois and Ohio in "Best Lawyers 2021." Recognized for excellence in 60 practice specialties, lawyers earning Best Lawyers honors are rated entirely by their peers. Sixteen Miller Canfield attorneys were also named on Best Lawyers' list of Rising Stars.

57 Miller Canfield lawyers have been recognized in the Michigan, Illinois and Ohio editions of Super Lawyers for 2020 and the magazine's annual listing of up-and-coming "Rising Stars." Five Miller Canfield attorneys were also named on Super Lawyers top lists. They are:
- Thomas Cranmer: Top 100 Super Lawyers, Michigan
- Gerald Gleeson: Top 100 Super Lawyers, Michigan
- Amy Johnston: Top 50 Women Super Lawyers, Michigan
- Megan Norris: Top 50 Women Super Lawyers, Michigan; Top 100 Super Lawyers, Michigan
- Nancy Valentine: Top 50 Women Super Lawyers, Ohio; Top 25 Women Super Lawyers, Cleveland
