Congratulations to Lana Yaghi, who was named by The National Law Journal among its 2020 D.C. Rising Stars. (See the NLJ's profile of her here.) Lana is one of the youngest of the 40 attorneys aged 40 and younger selected for their outstanding achievements in the practice of law.

Lana shares her time between Miller Canfield's Washington, D.C., and Doha, Qatar, offices. Her practice focuses on corporate and commercial matters and transactions, particularly in the defense, cybersecurity and aerospace industries. She also frequently counsels corporations and high net worth individuals in corporate aviation transactions across the world.

Resident co-director of the Doha office and fluent in Arabic, Lana has worked extensively representing and advising conglomerates and multinational businesses in cross-border matters involving the U.S. and Qatar, including on several leading strategic defense projects between the two nations.

"Lana is an exceptional attorney with outstanding business acumen, superb legal skills, and a deep understanding of the industries and people she serves," Miller Canfield CEO Michael McGee said in a release. "These traits were never more apparent than when she led the effort to open our office in Doha, which she accomplished in record time compared to other businesses that have located in Qatar."

Yaghi and other honorees will be recognized at The National Law Journal's annual Legal Awards on Nov. 5, 2020.

Congrats, Lana!
