Kyla Fair practices in the areas of labour and employment law, and corporate/commercial litigation. She provides practical and strategic advice to private and public sector employers on a wide variety of labour, employment, human rights, and occupational health and safety issues, with a particular focus on wrongful dismissal defence, responding to human rights applications, drafting employment contracts, compliance with employment standards, and workplace policy drafting.

Kyla also conducts workplace investigations, including those related to allegations of workplace misconduct, discrimination, violence and harassment.

Kyla has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Human Rights Tribunal and the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and is a fierce advocate for her clients both inside and outside of the courtroom.

Kyla routinely conducts compliance audits and in-house seminars for clients on such topics as harassment, discrimination, accommodation, drug/alcohol policies, terminations, and employee performance management.

Kyla is also a sessional instructor at the University of Windsor law school and has taught both Labour Law and Civil Procedure. Kyla is active in the Windsor community and has served as a Director for the Windsor-Essex County Humane Society since 2016.
