Colin Battersby is a principal in the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group and co-leader of the firm’s Cyber Security and Data Privacy Team. Colin earned his certification as an information privacy professional for the US sector, which is considered the gold standard for information privacy professionals.

Colin serves his clients with efficient, detail oriented counsel that is fully adaptable to each client’s individual needs and goals. He represents large and small businesses across many industries in claims alleging breach of contract, tort, product liability, legal and accounting malpractice and securities violations, with a focus on cyber security and data privacy issues.

In the cyber security and data privacy realm, Colin advises his clients on best practices to prevent and respond to cyber security incidents, including internal and external protections of personal, confidential or otherwise sensitive data and information in compliance with the unique laws and regulations governing different industries, development and execution of incident response plans, and representation in regulatory and civil matters, including data breach class action defense. 

As co-leader of the Cyber Security and Data Privacy Team, Colin works closely with the firm’s considerable talent to address the myriad data privacy and protection issues that impact all businesses in one form or another.
