Alan has extensive experience representing public and private clients in complex real estate transactions and new one-off economic development projects, including numerous P3-type projects. 

His broad practice extends to structuring all aspects of complex EB-5 projects, which includes representation of public and private clients in both direct investment and regional center based transactions.  Serving his clients’ local and global needs, Alan regularly works with colleagues from Miller Canfield’s other U.S. offices, Shanghai office, and other foreign offices when necessary to structure transactions.

Alan also regularly represents national insurance and financial companies with various licensing and regulatory matters involving the State of Michigan.  

Alan served as an intern at the Michigan Court of Appeals under the Honorable Bill Schuette, currently the Attorney General for the State of Michigan.
