In addition, our Public Finance team is the largest bond and tax-exempt practice in the Midwest, the 13th largest in the US, and recognized as one of the best in the country.

Our Commercial Real Estate Finance group draws seasoned professionals who bring their extensive experience – spanning thousands of commercial mortgage, construction and mezzanine loans in nearly all of the 50 States, with loan sizes ranging from $1 million to in excess of $150 million and secured by all property types – to bear on every transaction. Our team also has extensive experience designing national, regional and local CRE lending programs, developing systematic processes and documentation to aid our clients’ achievement of their capital deployment goals.

We also represent public and semi-public entities, including investment funds, insurance companies, private placements, syndicated partnerships, and REITs, in connection with long-term ground leases, sale/leasebacks, subordinated and convertible debt, bond and tax-exempt financing and credit-enhancement instruments.

As a firm, we also have one of the largest and most successful practices focusing on restructuring and workout of troubled commercial real estate loans and enforcement of lender rights in delinquent loans. Our extensive experience in debtor-creditor rights, bankruptcy, corporate and tax practice enables creative solutions for distressed real estate projects on behalf of both lenders and borrowers.
