Representative Matters
- County Clerk Election Law Defense
Successfully defended a county clerk's decision to place a candidate for the State House of Representatives on the general election ballot. The plaintiff, a candidate for the State House, challenged another candidate's residency and sued the county clerk to have him removed from the ballot. The court dismissed the plaintiff's challenge after motions and lengthy oral argument, thus approving the county clerk's ballot.
- District Court Judge Election Law Defense
Successfully defended a Michigan Judge's right to retain her "incumbent" status on the primary election ballot.
- City Clerk Election Law Defense
Obtained denial of three recall petitions filed against City Clerk for large municipality.
- Mayor Election Law Defense
Obtained denial of recall petition filed against Mayor of large municipality.
- Mayor Election Law Defense
Successfully defended charges of submitting a false affidavit of candidacy filed against Mayoral Candidate for large municipality and defended numerous lawsuits filed to deny candidate access to the ballot.
- State Representative Recount
Successfully represented State Representative Candidate during recount process where candidate won election by less than 80 votes.
