For decades, Miller Canfield has served as bond and special counsel to public sector operators of commercial and general aviation airports, in connection with billions of dollars of airport financings. We have developed particularly broad expertise in general airport revenue bonds (handling the first billion dollar general airport revenue bond issue in U.S. history), special facilities bonds and lines of credit, using various structures and types and levels of security.  As challenges facing airports and airlines have intensified, we have worked with airports to identify and develop or dedicate new revenue streams for capital projects and prepare authorizing documents with flexible terms to react to fast changing market conditions and visions for state-of-the-art facilities.
