Facebook to allow personalized URLs as of June 13th
June 11, 2009The social networking site, Facebook, Inc., recently announced that it will allow users of its website to create personalized URLs for their individual Facebook pages (facebook.com/yourname). Beginning Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 12:01 a.m. EDT, users will be able to choose a user name on a first-come, first-serve basis. Trademark owners interested in protecting their trademarks from registration as personalized URLs can submit a form entitled "Preventing the Registration of a Username" here.
