Open Source Software Compliance Insurance Available

Insurance underwriter Kiln and Miller Insurance Services have announced open source software compliance insurance coverage. Over the past two years, more than 30 claims have involved infringement of open sourced licenses. The more frequent use of open source software presents new business risks that aren’t addressed by traditional forms of insurance. The open source compliance insurance will offer up to $10 million in coverage, including lost profits and the cost of modifying infringing source code. To learn more, go to:
