FTC Sues Anti-Spyware Provider

The Federal Trade Commission filed suit in federal court in New Hampshire against a software provider that allegedly engaged in the practice of: (a) installing spyware on a computer without notice to the user, (b) notifying the user that its computer contains spyware and (c) offering to sell software to remove the spyware. The FTC's complaint alleges that the company's practices constitute unfair acts and violate the FTC Act.
