Jeffrey Drake focuses his practice on the procurement and enforcement of patents, copyrights, trademarks and other forms of intellectual property.
Jeffrey litigates patent matters for a wide variety of clients in federal courts across the country. He has experience in many different technologies and industries, including pharmaceutical compositions, animal health products, power tools, medical devices, telecommunications, sports equipment, pressure seal mailers, motorcycles, and automobile aftermarket collision replacement products. In addition, Jeffrey has experience litigating Hatch-Waxman cases.
Previously Jeffrey worked at an intellectual property boutique in Chicago where he gained experience in all aspects of intellectual property litigation including fact and expert discovery, summary judgment and trial proceedings.
Served as co-lead counsel for defendant in patent litigation involving electronic locks for cargo security.
Served as Illinois counsel in numerous patent, trademark, and other intellectual property cases.
Represented Mediterranean restaurant chain in trademark dispute involving claims of analogous use.
Advised internet retailer in copyright litigation relating to allegations photographs were impermissibly used to sell merchandise.
Secured expeditious settlement for a large multi-national corporation in a patent litigation involving abrasive articles used to repair, polish and finish coatings and surfaces.
