Attorney Elected

William B. Beach , an attorney in the Detroit office of the law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C., has been elected chief executive officer of the Great Lakes Chapter of the U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce (USMCOC), a binational organization of U.S. and Mexican businesses engaged in cross-border trade. The board includes representatives of General Motors, Ford, Honda, Delphi, Lear, Comerica, American Airlines, Roadway Express, Miller Canfield, and numerous automobile suppliers.

Proficient in Spanish, Mr. Beach has been affiliated with the USMCOC for a number of years, most recently serving as president.

He received his law degree from Wayne State University Law School in 1971, and his B.A. in 1966 from Bowdoin College. He has been practicing with Miller Canfield in the area of public law since 1990.

He is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan, State Bar of Florida, Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association, Oakland County Bar Association, and numerous other professional organizations, and is involved in a host of civic activities. He is a frequent speaker on topics relating to municipal law and finance, and has published in several publications.

He is a resident of Grosse Pointe.
