Miller Canfield Attorney Joseph Galvin Speaks at Michigan Township Association Conference
February 13, 2008The law firm of Miller Canfield announces that Joseph F. Galvin recently spoke on "Current Issues in Zoning" at the Michigan Township Association (MTA) Legal Institute for Township Attorney’s 55th Annual Educational Conference held at the Renaissance Center Detroit Marriott.
Galvin is a principal in the firm’s Detroit office. He handles a wide range of commercial lawsuits including those involving real estate and environmental matters. He also specializes in obtaining zoning and land use approvals and is experienced in dealing with landfill site disputes, cost-recovery actions, and wetlands litigation.
Galvin is an adjunct professor at Wayne State University School of Law. He is a member of several local and state bar associations. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, 2006-2008 editions in the Real Estate Law Section, the 2007 and 2008 editions in Land Use & Zoning Law Section, and the 2008 edition in Municipal Law, as well as Michigan Super Lawyers in the Litigation Section of the 2006 and 2007 editions.
He earned his law degree, magna cum laude from Wayne State University and a B.A. in political science from Michigan State University.
