Miller Canfield Attorney Elected Vice-Chair of Washtenaw County Economic Club
March 20, 2003Mark T. Boonstra, principal in the Ann Arbor law office of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C., has been elected the 2003 vice-chair of the Washtenaw County Economic Club, where he is also a director.
At Miller Canfield, Boonstra specializes in commercial litigation, including antitrust, securities and shareholder disputes, non-competes and trade secrets, contract law, business torts, and class actions.
He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan and the Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, and is a former law clerk to The Honorable Ralph B. Guy, Jr. He holds membership in the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan (Past Chairperson of the Antitrust, Franchising, and Trade Regulation Section), Federal and Washtenaw County Bar Associations. He is a member of The Federalist Society, National Audubon Society, Earthwatch, and The Nature Conservancy, and is active in the Republican Party. He is a 2002 graduate of Leadership Ann Arbor.
A member of Phi Beta Kappa, he received his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School, an M.A.E. (Master of Applied Economics) from the University of Michigan, and a B.A. from Michigan State University.
He resides in Dexter, Michigan.
