Attorney Elected Chairperson of State Bar of Michigan Section
October 2, 2000Mark T. Boonstra, a principal in the Detroit and Ann Arbor offices of the law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C., has been elected Chairperson of the State Bar of Michigan's Antitrust, Franchising, and Trade Regulation Section for 2000-2001.
Boonstra practices in the area of commercial litigation, including antitrust, securities and shareholder disputes, non-competes and trade secrets, contract, and business torts. He previously served as a law clerk to The Honorable Ralph B. Guy, Jr., in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He received his law degree from The University of Michigan Law School; an M.A.E from The University of Michigan, and a B.A. from Michigan State University. He was named "Outstanding Young Man of America" in 1988, and is listed in Marquis's Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America, Who's Who Among Rising Young Americans, Strathmore's Who's Who, Who's Who in Practicing Attorneys, and Men of Achievement. He also is a member of the American, Federal, and Washtenaw County Bar Associations.
Mr. Boonstra resides in Dexter, Michigan.
