Miller Canfield Attorney Appointed to Girl Scouts Finance Committee

Kathryn L. Ossian, E-Business team leader and principal in the Detroit law office of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C., was recently appointed to the Finance Committee of the Metro Detroit Council of the Girl Scouts. She is also currently a Troop Leader.

Ossian has practiced commercial litigation and intellectual property for seventeen years. She counsels clients in computer law, negotiating and drafting software licensing agreements, distribution and maintenance agreements, Internet law, and intellectual property dispute litigation.

She is a member of the American, Oakland County, and Armenian-American Bar Associations, State Bar of Michigan, and Automation Alley, presently serving on the Member Services Committee and chairing the Strategic Planning and Communications Subcommittee.

She received her law degree, magna cum laude, from the Detroit College of Law where she was managing editor of Casenotes. Her B.A. in Economics is from Michigan State University. She is a certified faculty member at the University of Phoenix and teaches a graduate level course on E-Law and Risk Management.

She resides in Pleasant Ridge, Michigan.
