The law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C. announces that Anna M. Maiuri, principal in the Troy office, has been named deputy group leader of the firm’s Environmental and Regulatory Group. She joins Thomas C. Phillips in leading the 13-attorney group.

Maiuri practices environmental law. She has extensive experience in helping corporations, business owners, and operators assess environmental liabilities when purchasing, selling, or leasing assets. Her experience includes investigation and defense of civil enforcement actions initiated under CERCLA, the Leaking Underground Storage Tank Act, and Part 201 of Michigan's Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act. She has also defended clients with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) citations. She also is a member of the firm's Automotive Industry Group and has expertise analyzing issues specifically related to environmental regulations applicable to OEM and Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.

Prior to joining the firm, she was a management analyst and supervisory auditor for the U.S. General Accounting Office. She is active in several civic and charitable organizations including Oakland County's Automation Alley, Troy Chamber of Commerce, the United Way, and the National Kidney Foundation.

She received her law degree from Wayne State University Law School and served as an assistant editor of the Wayne Law Review. From 1996 to 2002, she served as an elected 6^th Circuit Representative to the Michigan State Bar Representative Assembly.

She resides in Troy and has three children.
