The 18^th annual award is given in recognition of the most scholarly briefs filed before the Michigan Supreme Court.

Duerr and Goldberg wrote the brief and went on to win the Supreme Court case for which it was written. Briefs were judged for excellence in seven categories: the question presented, point headings, statement of the case, argument and analysis, style, mechanics, and overall brief.

Linda O.
