Miller Canfield Named Among Top 18 Nationally for Employment and Labor Litigation by Corporate Counsel Litigation Survey

September 12, 2013

The law firm of Miller Canfield is pleased to announce that it has been honored in a national corporate counsel survey as one of the top 18 law firms in the United States for complex employment litigation.

BTI Consulting Group named Miller Canfield as a “standout in complex labor” in its survey, BTI Litigation Outlook 2014.  BTI surveyed more than 300 general and in-house counsel in more than 20 industries nationwide to determine market opportunities, organizational buying habits and the “hire-ability” of their outside counsel.

In addition to ranking Miller Canfield among the top 18 employment firms nationwide – the only Michigan-based firm to be honored as such – BTI also named the firm to its new “Fearsome Foursome Honor Roll,” recognizing the law firms opponents fear most in litigation. Among other firms similarly honored by BTI for their complex employment litigation work are: Baker & McKenzie LLP, Jones Day, Latham & Watkins, Jones Day, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, LLP, Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, Paul Hastings LLP and Seyfarth Shaw LLP.

“Miller Canfield is honored to be recognized along with such outstanding national firms,” said Megan Norris, Miller Canfield’s Employment and Labor group leader.  “We are proud to have the leading employment and labor law group in the State of Michigan and to provide such value to our national clients.”

The analysis contained in the 2014 BTI outlook study is based on interviews with top legal counsel at major companies conducted between late March and early August of 2013.
