The law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C., received two awards for its 1999 United Way campaign in southeastern Michigan. In the Best Practice Contest, the firm received an honorable mention for Printed Promotional Materials and second place in overall Promotional Package. Miller Canfield was the only law firm to earn awards in the Best Practices Contest.

The firm also received the United Way Gold Award based on total contributions as a result of the firm's participation in the 1999 campaign. Jennifer Walker, an attorney in the Detroit office; Anna Maiuri, an attorney in the Troy office; and Bonnie Miller, Office Manager of the Troy office, spearheaded the firm's 1999 campaign.
