Jennifer M. LaTosch concentrates her practice in family and domestic relations law, which includes routine and complex divorces, post-judgment matters, custody and parenting time disputes, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and dissolution of relationship matters, child support, paternity, change of domicile, adoption, and personal protection orders.

The philosophy of our family law group is to provide our clients with representation that protects all of their interests and concerns, while at the same time assisting the client to maintain some degree of respect within their relationship. We do what we can to prevent a full-blown war, especially when there are children involved; but if necessary we will be prepared for one.”

Experience

In an emergency adoption case, Jennifer helped her client obtain a home study and file all requisite paperwork for an out-of-state, direct placement adoption within two days. Working with the Interstate Compact offices, the Miller Canfield team arranged for the child to travel from his birth state to Michigan within four days from the date of filing the petition.

Helping this child find a safe and permanent home was one of the most fulfilling moments in my legal career.”
