Paul E. Perry works out problem commercial loans, most of which are real estate-related, for a wide variety of lenders. Initially, in addition to getting a clear understanding of the client’s objectives, he analyzes the loan documents, advising the client of deficiencies and how to resolve them, and then works with the client to correct documentation deficiencies. Thereafter, he uses litigation and non-litigation techniques to reach the client’s objectives. Not only does Paul advise the client and handle the litigation, he also gets to know the client's business objectives and the borrower's business sufficiently to be able to help preserve and maintain the property value for the client.

My role is to make my clients’ job easier and to reach a desired, yet realistic, resolution of their problems.”
Paul E. Perry

Experience

In a case involving a hotel in Ohio facing foreclosure, Paul took the lead in protecting the lender's position by sorting through prospective buyers of a recently closed hotel to recover nearly all of the lender's debt.

I helped my client avoid the pitfalls of overly zealous borrowers pursuing sale contracts that were highly unlikely to close, thus leaving my lender-client in the lurch.”
