Michael B. Peterman's practice areas focus on banking and real estate. He represents financial institutions in all areas of commercial lending as well as landlords and tenants with respect to their retail, office and industrial facilities, paying particular attention to his client's specific business requirements rather than simply their legal requirements. His banking and finance practice has an emphasis on real estate, asset-based and international lending and real estate workouts. His real estate practice has an emphasis on real estate acquisitions and sales and commercial leasing.
“It’s important to truly understand a client's needs. I believe in treating every matter, whether big or small, as if it’s the most important and in providing high quality and effective representation to all clients of the firm.”
Michael B. Peterman
Experience
Mike represented a bank in the relocation of its Western U.S. headquarters, beating out competing banks for a high-profile office/retail development in Los Angeles. He flew out to California at the drop of a hat and finalized a lease over a two-day period.
“Representing an ‘out-of-state‘ financial institution for a high-profile bank center location in Los Angeles, it was important to show the developer of the project how serious the bank was. We beat out more established Southern California banks by flying out to California and holing up in the developer's attorney's conference room for two days until the lease was finished. Obtaining that location was quite a coup for our client.”
