Mark L. Maki has extensive experience in the worldwide protection of intellectual property including patents, trademarks, and copyrights. He represents various domestic and multinational corporations and has coordinated IP protection for clients' global operations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Asia Pacific. He also has represented individuals and businesses from numerous countries in their pursuit of U.S. IP protection, and has an understanding of the nuances of international patent and trademark systems. His experience includes preparation and prosecution of patents; preparing patentability and infringement opinions; trademark/service mark selection, registration and enforcement; evaluation of computer/Internet issues; licensing and related contracts; and litigation support.
Experience
Mark has handled IP matters in various industries such as office furniture, fluid handling and sealing devices, power and telecommunications systems, manufacturing systems and processes, automotive, photovoltaic module manufacturing, access control systems, and computer software.
