Marcy L. Rosen specializes in real estate and commercial lending litigation including construction lien litigation and title insurance defense, as well as commercial lender representation, insurance coverage disputes, automotive industry litigation, business torts and class actions. She has been involved with a wide range of commercial disputes, including real estate and financing related matters, the defense of commercial lenders in construction disputes of all types, title insurance defense, consumer credit matters, enforcement of noncompetition agreements, and trade secret disputes with former employees. Additionally, she is involved with a number of pro bono matters.
Experience
In a hearing on a matter where she was representing a non-profit pro bono client, Marcy convinced the judge to have an impromptu trial, which she subsequently won.

Trial counsel for Valassis Communications, Inc. in its legal battle with News America, Inc., a part of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation. Obtained $300 million jury verdict after an eight-week trial in July 2009, the eighth-largest jury verdict in the United States in 2009. As part of a comprehensive settlement--reached three days before the parties were scheduled to begin a second jury trial in Federal Court in Detroit--News America agreed to pay Valassis $500 million and enter into a 10-year shared mail distribution agreement with Valassis.
