Marcella Stewart handles a variety of litigation matters in both state and federal courts in Michigan and across the United States. She has represented clients in cases involving claims for antitrust violations, civil rights violations, unfair trade practices, trademark infringement, labor and employment discrimination, breach of contract and claims against directors and officers.
As a member of the firm’s Electronic Discovery + Records Management team, Marci's practice focuses on corporate records management, e-discovery, and project management. She works with clients to develop effective, efficient, and defensible discovery plans and to manage the resources necessary carry them out. From initial preservation and planning through trial, to final data disposition, she guides clients through the process with an eye on the triple considerations of time, budget and quality.

- Automobile Manufacturer Discovery Counsel
Advise and counsel Big Three automobile manufacturer regarding electronic discovery issues, including search and data culling protocols, document review strategy, project planning, budgets and discovery technology advancements.
- Automobile Manufacturer Litigation
Managed multiple discovery document collections totaling several million pages for Big Three automobile manufacturer. Coordinated collection, processing, review and production of hard copy and electronic documents, as well as identification and preparation of document collections for witness interviews and depositions.
- Governmental Entity Class Action Litigation
Managed document discovery for the Department of Human Services in class action litigation involving over 19,000 children in the foster care system. Drafted discovery plans and protocols for the identification, collection, and review of hard copy and electronic data. Supervised document review teams and the production of more than 1 million pages of discovery documents. Identified and prepared collections of documents for depositions, witness interviews, and trial exhibits. Drafted discovery motions and arguments. Prepared detailed privilege logs.
- International Auto Parts Manufacturer Litigation
Coordinated data collection, processing, and production for corporate litigation involving entities with document custodians across Europe and Asia. Advised clients regarding privacy and foreign language issues.
- National Non-Profit Antitrust Class Action Litigation
Worked closely with litigation attorneys and vendors to cull multiple terabytes of data into manageable document review collections using early case assessment tools and search strategies. Organized and supervised document reviews, productions and privilege review. Advised clients regarding production and processing protocols.
