He has served as bond counsel and underwriter's counsel on public finance transactions involving the state, state agencies and state authorities.  Dave is a frequent lecturer at meetings of the Michigan Association of Drain Commissioners.

Representative Matters

David was part of a team that was asked to assist an underwriting client close a transaction with a school district. Given the complexity of the transaction and the credit crisis that the financial markets were undergoing, they had to operate within a very tight time frame. If the transaction did not close by a specific date, the school district stood to face a large monetary penalty. For a time, the transaction teetered on the edge of not closing. In the end, however, the team found creative solutions to all impediments and was able to close the deal on time.
